In a world that is increasingly competitive I look for any edge that I can find. The information contained in the Brain Audit has given me insight that I just couldn’t have found in such a concentrated manner elsewhere.
I am currently in the process of developing a new direction and brand for my firm, and am using the checklists at the back of brain audit as a brainstorming map to develop my new customer focused model. It has really helped me clarify who my customers are and why I am in business.
The simple process of going through the checklists took the focus off of me and put it squarely where it should be — on my customers!

I am a business advisor with my local Small Business Development Center (a US government sponsored agency) and I meet with clients who routinely come to their first meeting and declare that they don’t like marketing, they don’t know how to market and/or their marketing isn’t working. They also have a common desired to find a magic bullet that will make all this marketing stuff go away so they can just focus on what they love best–the “doing” of their business.
I have tried many approaches to work with these clients, but they routinely fail as the approach appears intimidating, uses unfamiliar marketing lingo, or is just too daunting for them to really tackle.
The Brain Audit is the first approach that clarifies the process of defining the target customer and understanding what to do to appeal to this customer. It uses cartoons, simple language and clear examples. Once clients read it they feel confident they can do it.
Most importantly, once they have defined the Brain Audit components, they have a checklist for any marketing project: does it fulfill as many of the 7 bags as possible?
I love it when clients hear about the process, nod their heads and say, “I can do this!”
Paragraph writing is also a excitement, if you know after that you can write otherwise it is complex to write.
I first stumbled upon the author, Sean D’Souza, at a conference where we both were speaking. I listening to his presentation on Saturday morning, and then locked myself in my hotel room for 16 hours straight while I rewrote my presentation on Google AdWords For Dummies to make it more like Sean’s.
Why? Principally because Sean understands and conveys underlying structure better than anyone else I know. He loves showing people the simple steps that make all the difference, so we can ignore the fluff. The result is always entertaining, frequently hilarious, and to any business that wants to attract and serve more customers and clients, incredibly valuable.
The Brain Audit turns a century of brain research and market testing into 7 vivid and clear steps that anyone can use to make their own marketing more compelling. And the best thing is, none of this is obvious. You never walk away from Sean’s brain with the feeling of, “Oh yeah, I knew that.” His approach and insight bring tired old marketing concepts like “USP” and “positioning” and “differentiators” to life in new forms.

Sean is my secret weapon. Opps, it’s not a secret anymore! Heshows you how to create very clear emails, ebooks, presentations and blog articles – really best seller material if he were in my country.

I thought I would never get it. My marketing message was obviously ineffective because I wasn’t getting any results. I fundamentally knew The Brain Audit was the way to go because I couldn’t hit The Brain Audit “Buy NOW” button fast enough.
I did buy The Brain Audit and I joined the 5000BC forum to support my purchase. I spent the next year actively working in the 5000BC forum (the cave). I asked questions. I supported other people who were struggling with their marketing message. I took courses. I went to a Psychotactics workshop. I worked hard. Sean told me (and everyone else who would listen) that The Brain Audit was a process – not a magic bullet – so I plodded along.
Much to my surprise and delight the work has paid off. Today I sat down to create my marketing message using The Brain Audit structure. I couldn’t believe it. In under two hours I had framework for the marketing message I have always wanted but could never quite grasp. I know it needs refinement but the core is there. Whoop whoop and thank you Sean and Renuka!

I can not begin to tell you how much I have learned. For eg— the structure of this testimonial I´m answering right now has produced me some amazing results, even though I am only starting up my business and have only 6 testimonials in total. But they are quite convincing read.
Previously when I asked for testimonials or comments I got absolutely nothing worth publishing on my webpages. And people were not even interested in answering because I was offering them a blank page. Now I was asking specific questions and those are easy to give an answer to.
There is not just one thing you learn from the Brain Audit. The complete page is 100% must know stuff!
I also have audited my www-pages and made vast amount of improvements. Same goes to my marketing letters and articles especially the headlines.
I would definitely recommend The Brain Audit and I have done so too. They have been as amazed about the material as I have.
Extraordinary human being you are! Usually no one bothers to answer the emails but you did and fast too. I felt you really care about your clients. I have dropped all the other “gurus” I´ve been following but now you will show me the way to better business.
Forever grateful,
Sari
Dear Sean, I’ve only read the book excerpt, listened to the 2 free audio excerpts, and on the 5000bc page watched 2 of the 3 videos re: the Mackay website. And got SO excited by what I learned, that I went back and rewrote a class assignment – that had already been rewritten based on peer critiques.
Now my headline states a problem (as a question) – points to a group and their solution – refines the problem – presents the consequences – offers up a solution – and so on – as I connect each piece with the one before it!
I can’t tell you what a relief it is that It’s SO MUCH Better NOW! Thank you so much for helping my break-through!
I can’t wait to see what I learn from the entire package! But for now – ONE BIG THANK YOU FROM ME!!

Just a little story to share: I met a colleague at a training class and when one of us mentioned your Brain Audit, we both looked at each other and smiled.
At the next break, we excitedly talked about all your material, the Brain Audit and how awesome you are. Finding like-minded people is always fun which is why I figured I’d better join 5000bc.

Although Mom didn’t give me the middle name “Skeptic,” there are those who believe that to be true. So when I first discovered the landing page for the Brain Audit it seemed as if I would be moving on soon. But then something, and I’m not really sure what, caught my eye.
So, being the voracious reader that I am, I continued to read. I messed around reading that page and a few others I could find by this fellow Sean D’something. I kept thinking, “Now, what is this stuff all about?”
I must have looked at the offerings made by this fellow for over an hour before I went to get the credit card. Then I put the card up.
What was I thinking? We are in the early stages of building our business and we simply don’t have a lot of money to be throwing around at home studies which seem interesting. Besides that, a few years ago I bought an e-book off a website which turned out to be a total waste of money.
But, well this certainly looked different. I could see the names of people and their locations, and their business names in some cases saying what a wonderful product this was. I googled them. They were real. Out came the credit card. I put it up.
Finally, I made the mad leap and placed the order.
Since then, I’ve purchased a few more items from this Sean fellow. I’ve since learned his name too. I’ve learned it so well that our entire organization understands “Sean D’Sousa” as a household word. You know, “Well, Sean says that it is best to . . .” We all use those words and the rest of us pay attention.
You are the spice (curry) that we needed for our business recipe, Sean!
Thank You!

Reading the Brain Audit helps you develop a 360° perspective on the working of businesses – your own and other people’s. Get this book.
Read it. Then apply the knowledge. Your business will benefit – and so will your customers.
Not to brag – but as a testament of how well The Brain Audit works:
I launched my Real Estate website a mere couple months ago.
My Alexa Ranking most days hovers around 15 Million (i.e. negligible)
There are less than 20 articles on the blog.
I get less than 1 visitor a day – on average.
I have less than 30 subscribers.
Of those subscribers, I’ve gotten 6 conversions.
Those 6 conversions, once the whole process plays out, will make me over $50k in revenue in the next couple of months.
Not bad for a *very* small list, eh?
This goes to prove that it’s much better to have strong conversion rates than lots of visitors and/or subscribers.

I feel like such a fool!
I’ve read the Brain Audit book so many times.
And I was just listening to the VIDEO of the Brain Audit Presentation today. I was watching the “Lawnmower Guy” section. Then it hit me.
The strapline that I’ve not added to the life risk limited website…
I changed the old strapline, and was and was trialing the new one, but not on the site.
The new one is “Confusing Life Insurance Made Simple”
While watching the BA video, I soon came to realise that I’d hit on a better one. No, not “Wrinkle Free Lawns.”
Not even Confusion Free Life Insurance, although I did think about it, and ask my wife. As you know, if you’ve read the book, those are both straight adaptions from the the lawn mower section of the video.
No something better was around the corner. I found my idea in the next example on the video.

My break through is: Taking confusion out of life insurance
Sean was right again. Use all the media in your learning about the brain audit. It took the video to pull that flash of the obvious out. All that Brain Audit exposure, and it took the video to help me see the solution to my tagline, right before my eyes!
I bought the book first in 2004 or 2005, so 6-7 years is a lot of exposure. Don’t give up. Keep going over it, and always buy “Premium” at Psychotactics.com to make sure you get the juicy bonuses, like the 45 minute Brain Audit Presentation video!
Sean’s work on the Brain Audit has been both a blessing and curse to me.
For instance, I made the mistake of loaning my printout of The Brain Audit to my “friend.” It took over 8 weeks to get it back, and even though I had the download, I like printouts because I can write on them.
When I finally got it back, he had written his own notes in my copy. He apologized while simultaneously telling me how much better his referrals using just 2 to 3 pages from the book near the testimonial section. He told me he wasn’t through with it. I smiled and said, “Get your own copy!” while twisting it out of his hands.
Seven properly addressed items create more customers. Pretty simple, right?
That is an advantage Sean uses well—taking something complex and simplifying it and giving you a way to handle it more easily. He’s sort of like Dave Ramsey in one aspect, in that Dave says he wasn’t the first to create and talk about finances, he’s just made a system people can use more effectively. Good for you Sean! Good for me too!
I wish I could say more great things about this product, but that is part of the curse too. You know that change isn’t always easy even when the path is clear to travel.
With this product you will see the path you need to take, and you will have to step forward to move. No magic. That’s a get-rich quick idea that actually will stall you. If you’re mature enough to see that, then you will benefit from this, and Sean’s guarantees are strong and reliable.
Like my friend found out, you don’t have to implement everything to see benefits, but the more you do, the more you will benefit. Remember, seven properly addressed items create more customers. I can say everything I’ve applied has helped while confessing I wish I had applied more by now.

I had been putting off listening to the Brain Audit audio lessons for almost a year, because after three decades entrenched in marketing and communications, I thought: “What could Sean possibly teach me that I don’t already know?”
So when I recently had to drive six hours by myself in the States, I finally decided to give your material a shot. Huge surprise! I’m hooked now, dear Sean. Please keep the irreplaceable information coming…

When I saw the price of the Brain Audit I thought, “YIKES, I can’t afford that!” But then I thought, “Heck, this is an investment in ME and MY FUTURE.” So I plopped down my moolah — and was completely blown away. The information and concepts are in the top tier of everything I’ve read about marketing — especially about how the brain works in making a decision to buy. Sean’s Seven Pieces of Luggage are right on target in addressing how and why people choose not only to buy what you offer, but choose to buy FROM YOU instead of the guy down the street. I now understand how to construct a trigger that captures a prospect’s attention, and then reassure them about their concerns and the hidden risks of making that purchase. I now use these Seven Pieces not only in my own marketing but for clients as well, and my business has taken off. I’m no longer struggling to keep my bottom line in the black.

I’ve spent a small fortune struggling to learn copywriting. (I’m an academic by training, and am transitioning to a new career.) I’ve bought several expensive courses long on promises. But for all their promises they deliver how-to in a theoretical way that has never led to success. It’s long on how it it’s possible to write, but short on practical ways to make it happen. Their “systems” don’t deliver. They don’t chunk things down to learnable steps.
Not the Brain Audit and its Applications companion. It’s long on practical how-to, taught in a visual way (great for me because I’m a visual learner), and has lots of examples to get an intuitive feeling for how the system works. It’s a teaching style I wish more people would adopt.
Thank you, Sean, for such a great product. I wish I had bought this two years ago when I was first starting. It would have saved me a lot of money and gotten me on my way much faster, easier, and smoother. I would be producing at this point instead of sitting in confusion.

“I found a recommendation to check-out Sean’s website through Twitter. The recommendation didn’t have the usual bad taste, carnival hawking, self promotion smell to it; it suggested something special was going on. Being a skeptic but intrigued I checked out the link. The link brought me to the Brain Audit Applications. I was blown-away by the numerous examples and applications of Brain Audit principles in the “Applications” book. I read it like I had found a great fiction book to read on the beach. It seemed though like I was missing the foundational explanation for the Applications which led me to discover the Brain Audit 3.2 book and led me to attend Sean’s seminar based on the book.
Sean’s materials presented new theories of marketing that I was not familiar with but he explained them in plain terms with plenty of analogies so I could relate to my own buyer-seller mindset and was persuaded by them. His style was creative and interesting to hold my attention through hundreds of pages. Most importantly he served up an overall principle that remains at the forefront of my thought-process each time I am about to prepare copy for a client or blog: the client has seven bags he needs to unload before he is ready to buy/do business with you. If you do not address all seven, the client will walk away. Sean also drove home the point which my experience greatly resisted, but I was sold on Sean’s views after hearing and reading his explanations: you must write a single client profile and sell to that profile if you expect success. My instincts told me otherwise; Sean’s explanations and experience proved his advice was solid. Sean’s personal touch with every customer makes all the difference when trying to apply advice to your own business or product. Personal service is a rare opportunity and Sean has a tremendous talent to help brainstorm and create an appealing tag line to compel the customers to ask for more.”

I first saw Sean at a seminar and enjoyed his presentation so much that I joined his email list.
For about a year I read his free stuff, but I didn’t buy anything.
Then I decided to take the plunge and ordered The Brain Audit (on sale).
This was my missing ingredient to help me write two successful direct mail pieces for my clients.
Needless to say, I never even thought to ask for a refund. Sign up for his free emails. And after a while you’ll buy and use The Brain Audit.

I got the Brain Audit a few months ago, after being impressed with some articles about pricing (among many really good articles that I thought were already giving away a lot of good valuable info). I am starting up a website that I want to move into a membership site (or something similar) and don’t have a lot of money for the budget, let alone time (at this point I have to admit it is like a hobby) so I really felt bad about putting so much money into a ‘book’, and an e-book at that!
Well, I am going through the listening to The Brain Audit for a second time, and now I am really starting to see how to use the ideas to give me focus: things like my USP (I am starting to get it now! yay!). The problem (that was my first big hurdle). I still don’t really have any products, but I am also using some of the ideas in my bricks and mortar business (the school), like the structured testimonial. This is really helping things and helping me focus and ’see’ the structure that I couldn’t see before.
I look forward to building a great business online and increasing sales in my existing business even now…
Thanks a lot… it was worth it (if you are serious about getting down to work and making a business).

I stumbled onto PsychoTactics and Sean D’Souza quite by accident some time back, when I was first toying with the idea of developing sites for affiliate publishing. Everything I read on PsychoTactics made sense, but I was so overwhelmed with stacks of other stuff that “made sense,” that I didn’t come to the realization that Sean’s approach made MORE sense for quite some time. I had to run head-on into a big, frustrating wall of “Experts” first, each intent on winning the Drown The Newbie Web Marketer In Hype game.
One day, after having endured the umpteenth SEO SECRETS AND MARKETING SUCCESS TRICKS REVEALED Expert’s pitch (and every one of them containing little more than canned advice about titles, keywords, h1-h2-h3, meta tags and content), I threw up my hands and stopped reading. Everything. I decided to give myself a week off to decompress and clear my head of the hype and noise and folderol.
Lucky me. I didn’t take the week off. I decided to finish reading the day’s email instead – and found another gem from Sean. Thank goodness.
As I read his email, I recalled the pleasant, low-key narratives of PsychoTactics, his logical approach, his thorough lack of hype and hyperbole. This was what I had been searching for. This was the information source that fit my style, my needs, my direction. I had my answer without needing a week of meditation. I ordered Brain Audit that night.
I’m a slow but deliberate reader, and I confess that I’m not even a third of the way through Brain Audit. But I’ve heard enough and read enough even at this point to know that the decision to go with Brain Audit is already repaying me a thousandfold.
Go. Read PsychoTactics. Subscribe to Sean’s email list. Read. Order Brain Audit. Read more. Listen. Learn. Smile.
Recognize that, with Sean’s approach, you’re not being beaten about the head and shoulders with terror tactics, outlandish promises and three-ring circus ballyhoo. Once you realize Sean is entirely “f’real,” don’t take the week off to avoid the hucksters. Just open the pages of Brain Audit and breathe deeply of the rarified air of straight talk, straight thinking and calm logic.

I happened to run across Psychotactics.com a couple of years ago while searching for ways to market my new business.
I signed up for Sean’s newsletter right away. Since that time, I’ve gotten tons of great newsletters. Up until about a week ago, I thought that I could get by using only the newsletters. That was a huge mistake! As it turns out, the newsletters were great at helping me see things from a new perspective.
But what I really needed next was to take ACTION. For that, I needed to know exactly what to do, step-by-step. I’ve gotten more stuff done in the two days after I read the Brain Audit than I did during two years of reading newsletters alone. Don’t fall into the same trap I did, thinking to yourself, “I get the idea,” or “I can figure out the details on my own.”
Order the Brain Audit now and put it to work in your business, before your competition does!

I first heard of The Brain Audit after I had “Stumbled” upon one of Sean’s articles. It was a really good article, so I subscribed to his newsletter. After he gave me more and more value in the articles, I was already sold. I simply didn’t have the cash at that time to buy though, but it was on my list of things to do.
Then Sean sent out an email for the Brain Audit V3.2, and when I saw it was only just over 100$ dollars, I had to scrape it up.
The thing that made the difference for me was the Audio. I actually didn’t even read the book for over a week, but just listened to the Audio.
Then I finally sat down for a full day, notes and all, and went through the entire PDF. I wanted to create a sales page for some sheet music I was selling, as well as design some sort of marketing idea/structure for my webmaster business (I design websites for small businesses). Everything just seemed to make sense to me. And every time I read it, I get something else out of it (It’s kind of like the Bible of Marketing!) I still haven’t read it enough times, and I know I’m still missing out on more.
Needless to say, I immediately bought the next product Sean sent because it spoke to me (The Chaos Planning Book). I’m incredibly unorganized, and that book has helped me (Although I should probably be reading that more too!)
I’m 100% happy with my purchase, and it’s given me much more security in the knowledge I have about marketing. I often feel because I’m new to this business and marketing stuff that I don’t know anything, but the Brain Audit gave me confidence as my skills.
And I’m getting new clients because of it!

I have been a follower of Sean for a very long time. In that time I have had a couple of issues. Nothing show stopping, and I have to say that each issue was dealt with and handled very promptly, very courteously.
Do I use what I have learnt? I think I do. Some of it is becoming second nature so I am no longer actually realizing it—It’s just happening!: How I treat customer, how I suggest things to customers there is all parts of The Brain Audit in there.
I do find myself pushing customers to grasp the benefit of feedback, especially negative feedback. They initially think I’m mad. But after explaining that turning something around and removing barriers for other customers is actually what they want to do, is proving very beneficial returns to them and me.
It also enables me to position myself as a perceived expert. This in turn allows me to not compete on price alone, but on services. We all have “low-ballers” in our chosen industry who think that cutting prices is the best way to get business. But at what cost? Because six months or a year later, they end up closing their doors.
The customers now think that the low prices are the norm—which is damaging to any industry. I have doubled my turnover each year (this is my third year) and I like to think that I don’t compete on price. Yes I will lose customers who are just price shopping—but do I want them?
I would rather concentrate on the areas that yield the greatest returns.

The problem is that in my industry there are some aspects of marketing that just cannot be “translated” without clients becoming confused and wondering if they are being “sold” something they do not need or want”
My biggest problem, before I read or had even heard of Sean’s materials, was making sense of marketing as it related to my profession. As a Registered Clinical Counselor, marketing for clients, without being a “cheese salesman” had always been a challenge.
To be candid about it, I have a business degree as well, and thought I knew a great deal about how to market successfully (and I did). The problem is that in my industry there are some aspects of marketing that just cannot be “translated” without clients becoming confused and wondering if they are being “sold” something they do not need or want, at a time that they are quite vulnerable and looking for help, not looking for a great marketing campaign. Clients who attend my office want compassion, understanding, expertise and credibility.
Marketing programs do not typically fit easily or quickly with these character qualities that are usually found in counselors, unless the principles you are using for your marketing program are grounded in a very simple, easy to understand level of communication that gets the message across without it appearing to be a “sales” effort.
The Brain Audit, is just what is appears to be. It is solid, genuine, easy to understand information that fits within my counseling/consulting industry, without a lot of translation required. Sean has developed a program that just “fits” virtually every situation and test I have put it to both in marketing and in developing the core of new counseling programs for clients.
Like many others, I stumbled upon Sean and his program while searching for other marketing programs. I was really skeptical about investing in yet another program and waited, because I had been “burned” by so many really stupid and ineffectual marketing programs that really had nothing but loose theories bound together from useless ideas that did not work the first time and were now being repackaged and recycled from the “marketing grave yard”, yechhhh!
Today, my only regret is that I waited so long to fully invest my time and effort into all the programs Sean has to offer. Once I read the Brain Audit and applied the information, my business took off and my prices went up because I was in so much demand I could not keep up.
So, go ahead and be skeptical, hang around and eat the crumbs that fall from the table until you are ready to dine at the table with the rest of us enjoying the party. There is more then enough to go around, so if you wait, or you jump in, eventually you will make it to the same level of success we all have, and surpass even your own wildest expectations, as I have.
Read the Brain Audit first. This is the starting point for all the rest and it contains your invitation to join the rest of us at the party table where the feast is happening!
Attversumption everyone – Yoo Hoo 🙂
By the time I ordered The Brain Audit I had already read a few ‘how to’ marketing books that had made the usual promises, and I was half expecting more confusing jargon and another complicated strategy involving questionable tactics.
To my real surprise I found The Brain Audit was based on a clear, understandable, easily implementable set of steps, that made real sense. I read the book the first time in just one sitting and was left feeling as if at last, finally, the sun had come out from behind the clouds.
I recommend Sean’s Psychotactics.com and The Brain Audit to most of my friends in business – but NOT to those in the same business as me…

The Brain Audit was recommended to me by a friend, more than a year ago. I purchased my first version, and then the updated version and audio files, but never got so far as to read / listen to the end.
As I stand on the brink of a miracle, I was wondering just how I’m going to do “this”, and by “this” I mean take my business to the next level. And so along comes Sean’s invitation to join The Brain Audit site. Knowing in my heart that the best advice I ever got with regards to marketing was from the pages I read in Brain Audit, and those files I listened to, I immediately grasped the opportunity to join.
I have seen and heard many a marketing tales (and was hurt by a lot of them as well), as such I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Sean. I know you and this site will have an impact on my life. I know I will look back on this day, as one of the best days in my life.
Thank you for making marketing understandable, thank you for changing our lives for the better.

I’ve found the Brain Audit to be a novel and entertaining approach to understanding marketing strategy and tactics. I was so impressed I included a free subscription to the Brain Audit as a promotional tool to customers who re-ordered product from me. I doubt one can find a more convincing endorsement of a product than to offer it to your own customers.

I’ve enjoyed and recommended The Brain Audit to many colleagues and clients. Steve Washer is a local videographer, client and friend whom I learned has been a ‘raving fan’ of Sean’s for a long time, too. Small world!
Recently, Steve did a video for a client of mine and the notion of the ‘rollercoaster’ of the story line proved phenomenally helpful. I liken it to a friendly ‘tease’ . . . revealing a problem, then the cause suggesting the cure but then sharing yet another aspect of the problem, another cause and suggesting yet another cure. The tension this creates is powerful. It’s so involving of a reader or viewer or listener.
As a mechanism for telling a story or selling a service, I’ve come to refer to my copy of The Brain Audit on a regular basis and it’s always helpful!

Late last year, I was fortunate enough to find the Psychotactics website and Sean’s incredible programs. I can say that I am “hooked” and have been devoting myself to learn and implement the material.
Sean, I don’t think I ever would have gotten as far as I did if you hadn’t made the Brain Alchemy Masterclass freely available. Money being what it was at the time, and not knowing a thing about you, a $2500 purchase would not have happened. Thank you for your generosity (I know that there is a business related facet to the give-away, but it is generous none the less).
Shortly after downloading but before listening the the BAM, I purchased the Brain Audit. The price fit my budget and you put a bit of time pressure into the sale (get your extras now before such and such date). After listening to both the BAM and BA, I knew I had found someone (you) from whom I could learn much and which could and will change the way I look at and do business.
The Brain Audit has had an immediate impact on my employer’s business. He is our principal salesperson and even with years of experience he still had difficulty with the process. He seemed to reinvent the wheel with each sales call. I read (and re-read and listened) to the Brain Audit. Over a period of a couple of weeks I taught it to him. We evaluated his process and found a new way of presenting our material to our clients. As a result, we have a more predicable to evaluate our sales calls and there are far fewer surprises in each call.
This past week, I convinced my employer to purchase the Home Study Article Writing Course. I knew that his business would benefit from my study and implementation of the material and that my own growth would be enhanced as well. I haven’t started yet – I am looking forward to it.
I am also been a member of 5000BC (ToddSaid) since November and have just started to move around in the Cave.
Thank you!

I discovered Sean in a MP3 download from Perry Marshal many years ago. I found Sean inspirational and have looked forward to the informative email from him over the years.
Finally in 2009 I took up an offer and bought the Brain Audit. Should have done it a long time ago. I’m in the process of implementing the vital ingredients the Brain Audit provides in to a rebuild of our two websites.
I’ve also used some of the information the Brain Audit provides to help my children with their school work. Whilst they aren’t offering a 90 day money back guarantee on their homework yet, they are spending more time really understanding the questions asked and producing well thought out work.
Thank Sean and keep up the good work.
Sean’s creativity, blessed with common sense, has helped me a great deal over the past couple of years.
Sadly ‘common sense is not all that common’. When I first investigated Sean’s work I was uncertain about the value issues. It didn’t take long to find out that The Brain Audit could be helpful to me and, perhaps more important, to my clients.
Particularly the info on Testimonials… so many businesses don’t use testimonials and those that do often feel that putting a sugar coated quotation or two in the mix will be the answer to their needs.
Thank you for your insight and communication skills Sean And, I expect, Renuka too! You are a Great Help!
The Brain Audit provided me with a great structure into which to think and operate with my customers and prospects.
There is a lot in there to assimilate, despite the “simple” model. Moving the gears in my brain to another position takes time but provide a very powerful change in doing business with others.
The good thing is that it is available in MP3 and in a book format, making it easier to upload into my skull.
I have come to appreciate the notion of the target profile, which looks like a basic thing, but in reality, is not at all that easy to come up with and is in itself worth the full price!
Thanks Sean!
I was first referred to Seans work by one of the top Copywriters around. I figured that if it’s good enough for the pros then I’d take a quick look…
That ‘quick look’ has turned into 7 years, over 450 emails and some workshops.
On face value you might think that after this amount of time and information sharing I would have learned all I could from Sean, however just the opposite is true. Sean’s updates are some of the few articles that I always make time to read, and re-read, right up to this day (despite my inbox being signifcantly busier than it was 7 years ago).
I can honestly say I learnt more about pricing and marketing strategies from a single workshop with Sean than I did in a 3 year marketing degree. For the 2nd worshop I attended I was so excited about the prospect that I ended up turning up to the venue a full day early…
I cannot recommend Sean’s work highly enough!

Sean,
I was referred to Sean’s work by Ken McCarthy…
I too purchased my first version, and then the updated version and audio files, but never got so far as to read or listen to the end.
Now I am in a position to take a start-up segment for an international company (B to B) to market. We are engaged in sales, marketing, copywriting, web communication pieces (including audio and video), mobile apps, etc.
The Brain Audit will help to understand our customer’s buying patterns quickly, eliminating a lot of wasted time, effort and money. The undertstanding of “Triggers” is by itself well worth the cost of the package.
One other item: Sean remains totally engaged with his customers…unlike a lot of the other so-called “business experts” who market and sell an info product, then go on to something else (or worse yet, disappear altogether).

I hope to learn more about problems that confront, and what to do.
How did I first come across the Brain Audit? Actually it’s recommended by the folks I host my site with, Sitesell. When I first started my website my focus was on building content that would bring the traffic to me. It took around 2 years and I’d done it! Woot… except I still didn’t have a business. Well I did, but it was more like a tiny time income and I couldn’t really see how I was going to change that. I wanted to be working towards a full time income (I don’t need masses by the way – I’m more into quality of life than counting my pots of money).
I pondered for a while but honestly became pretty disheartened. I had all this content but it wasn’t doing anything and I’d really hit the wall at this point.
Then I was browsing the member areas of Sitesell again one day and there was Sean again. I decided why not and headed over to Psychotactics. Did I get the Brain Audit straight away?
No way! I’ve become pretty jaded with all the hoopla on line and the false promises so I wanted to ‘try ‘ Sean out first. I joined his newsletter on Psychotactics and made a little folder in my inbox for when his articles rolled in. And they did. And I started to take notice. These were gooood. They were bite size pieces of knowledge that I could easily understand. Each and every one was good.
Anyway, long story short, after a couple of months of reading these articles and realizing that actually, Sean’s a great teacher, and he share his knowledge in a way that means I can go and apply it, I took the plunge and bought the Brain Audit. It still felt funny to me as it was a lot of money to pay for an ebook. I mean who pays that for an ebook?! I’ve never done that before.
I started to read, and read some more. Then I read again and worked my way through the exercises. Then I read again and started mind mapping the information in the book. And then ‘ding ding ding’ lights went off in my brain. I had a direction again and could begin to see how I could start to work again on my website.
I must be honest, I didn’t stop with the Brain Audit. I’m now a fully fledged member of 5000bc and I’ve bought other books by Sean to help me along my way. Is it worth it? Oh yes. But my starting point was the Brain Audit. The rest wouldn’t have happened without it.
When did I start? It was around March 2010 I think – not that long ago. There is still a long way to go on my site but if you want to take a peek at the changes I’ve made thanks to what I’ve learned in the Brain Audit, here you go:
The old website home page was http://www.tokyotopia.com/old-home-page.html
The new home page is http://www.tokyotopia.com/index.html
Now I’ve just got to keep going – my e-products are on their way : ) If you’ve not already purchased the Brain Audit I can’t recommend it, or Sean, highly enough. I’d still be puddling along wondering what to do next without them!
I came across the Psychotactics website a few years ago and enthusiastically subscribed to the newsletter. .. Only to go through the cycle of reading it intermittently, forgetting about it, then just leaving it all together. This was mainly because I viewed Sean as being another ‘me too’ in the internet/copywriting/marketing game. (Boy, was I wrong!)
A few months ago, someone in a networking group I’m in mentioned Sean’s name and sent a link for the Brain Alchemy masterclass. Ping! It was the lightbulb moment and I was hooked.
When I first started listening to the Brain Audit’s audio files, I found them easy to listen to. The examples Sean uses are easy to picture (like stepping out from the dog poo!) and I try implementing a lot of the techniques he suggests in my business on a weekly, if not daily basis. Even my communication style has changed!
I think the information and lessons from the Brain Audit sticks because Sean and Renuka have put such tender loving care into its creation. It’s real and honest – just like you and me and the countless other entrepreneurs who have read or listened to it.

As I researched ways to help me approach methods of utilizing the internet to improve my online business, I wanted to do it in a way that complimented me. I found Sean’s work during this research
Brain Audit is a valuable resource to help me market my business in an honest and practical way. Brain Audit gives me a solid framework. I have used Brain Audit to develop stronger headlines and stronger content for my marketing material. I especially liked the approach to testimonials, which I have just begun to implement.
Brain Audit has helped me be more comfortable positioning my product and not being afraid to ask a commanding price for an excellent product knowing I am delivering a product that exceeds in value.
I have read and listened to the material just once and expect to repeat several more times to get even more value out of it.
Thanks for a great product, Sean.

I learned about Sean from a restaurant marketing friend. Normally I would have not gone anywhere with this new found information but I respect this guy a lot and he said that Sean is one of the best marketing minds around. So I check out the Psychotatics website and I was hooked: so much information, so much common sense. I bought the Brain Audit book and shared it with my key staff; it really was a revalation. We work very hard at marketing our business and at times it really does become overwhelming. After reading the Brain Audit, it became much less complex and doable. Now I hear my staff talking about implementing a new promotion and the first words they utter are “Ah but first we need to do a target profile.” We are looking at our existing and potential Guests more differently now that ever before.
Thanks, Sean. Looking forward to working with you and your products for many years to come.

I cannot recall when I first learned about Sean and his Brain Audit. If I said it was the fault of a cartoonist who used to live up north in Cumbria and has a penchant for boosting business for tailors, vineyards and selling his works from the Texas outback, you’d probably be right. It was Hugh MacLeod who linked me to Sean.
Truth is, I wish I hadn’t heard of Sean and the Brain Audit. Why? Because it’s hellishly addictive that is why! And being the owner of a seriously addictive personality I was hooked before the download ended and needed to open the pdf very quickly for a fix and also you don’t need me to spell it all out do you? You do?
Well, ok but don’t blame me if you get addicted too. Don’t say I did not warn you. OK here goes.
Sean D’Souza and his fantastic Brain Audit system is a must have. Yes. If you are a teenyweeny bit entrpreneurial or even are the owner of a massive entrepreneurial heart – you need The Brain Audit. You simply cannot carry on another day of doing business without The Brain Audit and that is that. Just apply my DI principle. Do It. Like do it this instant.
Probably like you, for way too long I have also been a slave to finding that ‘thing’, the mystery ingredient that we all need in order to make a real success of our businesses and lives. The library of ‘How To’ books downstairs is testament to a long, arduous, expensive and failed journey to learn and find a way to make my fortune in a business of my own. Why was I so unlucky in my quest?
Why were the gods of business denying me the success I yearned for and bit my fingernails to the quick for? Not fair that every book was left unfinished. I didn’t pay money to be bored.
But that day I learned about Sean and The Brain Audit was my epiphany.
I went onto his site and from what I read at the outset I knew I was meant to be there to to connect with a person who can teach and whose teachings stick in the mind and do become instictive.
That person is Sean D’Souza whose insights, methodical teaching and business methods make learning such fun and easy to do. His humour is laidback and as for his easy manner, simplistic approach and ability to make what he is teaching you strike the chords and resonate within – well I can’t stand it.
Oi vey, it is just so right. Tell me, are there enough superlatives in the Concise Oxford book of words to describe him and The Brain Audit? I don’t think so. Do yourself a favour – go buy The Brain Audit.
I said go buy it. Now. Go on. Shoo. Run, run. Be quick
I first heard of The Brain Audit when a highly respected, successful person I know mentioned it in passing. I take most of what he recommends very seriously so I googled Brain Audit and found psychotactics. I read through the site and promptly signed up for the newsletter.
Truthfully I would’ve loved to have bought The Brain Audit much sooner, but I had my time and money invested in various things to drive me closer to my goals in life. In fact I still do, which is why, in all honesty, I have yet to fully implement what I’ve learned from reading and listening to The Brain Audit.
Anyway, the power and helpfulness of Sean’s newsletter really helped bolster things I was learning and activities I was involving myself in. It was nearly a year of enjoying such generosity from Sean that I finally cracked and got The Brain Audit.
I’ll tell you right now, that despite not being able to fully implement everything taught, I am feeling the impact. It’s a great thing because I feel The Brain Audit is one of those books that you can always go back to and reap new benefits from.
Thus far my biggest success has come from marketing on Twitter. I was involved recently in a 3.5 week video promotion campaign. The challenge was to drive as much traffic to the page on my site that the video was embedded on. Typically I don’t do much promotion for that page but let me tell you that by using the principles laid out in The Brain Audit I was able to generate over 2,000 hits within that time period on a page that generally only garners a few hundred a month on it’s own.
Bottomline, considering I’m only at the tip of the iceberg with The Brain Audit, I have the utmost confidence that I’ll be able to take the lessons within it to bigger and greater heights over and over again for years to come.
Thanks Sean!

I started using “the brain audit” on a daily basis. What I most value is its unique combination of deep insights of human nature and its spiritual basis.
I can highly recommend it for business and life.

I read something about testimonials in a blog post. It was referring to Sean’s material. I found Psychotactics, and within minutes I had purchased the Brain Audit.
Suddenly I had a structure to work to. It all made perfect sense. I have read it 6 times now, and I’m constantly listening to the audio in the car.
I made up 7 red boxes and used them in a teach to learn session with my team. They got it too
We set up 7 boxes (pages) on our intranet and we are all contributing ideas.
We are busy talking to clients, thinking about target profiles and we already have 20 great testimonials.
We have set up a new “beta” web site to test our new ideas.
In short the Brain Audit has brought a new focus to our business and helped revitalise the whole team. We speak a common language again, based on the 7 boxes.
The next 12 months are going to be very exciting.
I found Psychotactics and the The Brain Audit while I was looking on the internet, trying to understand why my residential remodeling website was such a flop. The Brain Audit made it perfectly clear why my website failed. I was doing things in the wrong order.
I’m now ready to put this new knowledge to work for me.
I might be the only person on the planet who first heard about the Brain Audit and Sean D’Souza from an ad. Yes, I heard about Sean in a tiny, I mean really small ad in the NZ Direct Marketing Association Magazine. I’ll tell you why this is important in a moment.
The ad read, “Why Customers Buy and Why They Don’t?” It was bright, and colourful. Then it had the website details. Boy was he onto something I wanted to know!
After a while of getting the newsletters, I finally bought the book. $109 US dollars (about $180 NZD at the time), for an ebook and some audio!
That was way back in the early 2000s.
I tried and I tried and I tried to copy that style of customer attraction. But without the support of a membership site, it was very hard, to say the least! So when I found out about the BrainAudit.com/members site I was really excited.
The members section helped me with the revamp of my home page just today. I was able to listen to the audio on the topic of My Solution vs The Solution. You know its the subtle differences that make the difference between customers buying and not buying.
The better I understand the brain of the buyer, the better I am able to help people buy.
I never did pay for a NZ Direct Marketing Association Magazine, but I sure am pleased I read the one where I was introduced to Sean and the Brain Audit, (and now version 3.2) its something I use every day!
I purchased the first Brain Audit about one year ago. The premise of the 7 bags and removing them are mandatory to get the ideas across efficiently. The idea about identifying the One Problem (along with the One Target Person) in my Copywriting is divine inspiration. For me, the One Problem is like the philosopherís stone. I could use it to change base metals into gold, but with time I used it to transform my writing and myself.
I decided to purchase BA 3.2 as I needed more heft to understanding. I also have a new full time job ñ and I am paid straight commission. This is a huge incentive to get it all together and the small investment in BA 3.2 was a no-brainer. I would have borrowed money to buy it.
I have never been disappointed with anything Psychotactics has presented. Yet it does take time for it to sink in and then apply it. It is like reading a really profound and deep poem ñ that in order to grasp the depth it needs to be re-read over ands over and with copious notes and then applied. Truthfully, it is not for the faint of heart.
In these challenging economic times BA 3.2 should be priced much higher.
Peace…

ìThinking like your customersî
“I had a look at Sean’s website after a friend told me.
I had no faith in it, I was simply thinking: “Here we go again,
this will be the n-th marketing method where someone will ask me $$
and then more $$$”. In fact,in the previous years I tried many
marketing techniques, with a great loss of money and nearly no result.
I am selling special services and I needed targeted clients
without spending a lot of money. I was just wondering: How can I do
that??
After reading some pages, I bought The Brain Audit. Then I thought
-if Sean succeeded in making me buy this e-book, why shouldn’t I
do the same?
I read it in a nighttime. The next day I applied some minor changes
to my monthly newsletter and… guess what? I doubled the people
calling me after reading the news!
And from this point, always going up!
This method works! I can testify it!
But the main thing for me, is it makes you independent from
marketing consultants, upgrades, expensive marketing campaigns
and so on!
I can say this marketing system is far better than any other method
I tried in a 10-years-work time.”

I am an expert in the study of how what we feel and think on a deep level affects our physiology and behavior. Based in my expertise in the field, I believe Sean D’Souza is a genius when it comes to teaching marketing from a psychological standpoint. He understands why people make buying decisions on a level I have verified in my work. He’s the real thing.
I have had the pleasure of studying three generations of the Brain Audit. Why would someone ever purchase the same item more than once?
Because it’s that powerful. Each edition brings something new and wonderful to the table. Sean never rests on his laurels- he’s always thinking and studying.
The Brain Audit Masterclass brings the student a comprehensive understanding of how to help a customer buy. In this workshop, Sean expands on his writings in a way that is easy to understand and apply. The lectures are interesting and easy to follow.
If you only have a little money to spend on growing your business, spend it with Sean. If you have a lot of money to spend on growing your business, spend it with Sean. It will be the best money you ever spend on growing your business.

Hi Sean,
I just wanted to let you know what a great influence your teachings have
been to me so far.
Before coming across your teachings I was a lost I had to say. I had so much
going on, concerns, lack of direction and planning just not getting the
rubber to meet the road and going around in circles. Your original, lateral
thinking and systems are changing that!
Before I was introduced to Mind Maps by yourself I used to have all this
stuff going round in my head, almost driving me, my family and friends
crazy! I have been trailing Mind Manager after reading one of your posts in
5000bc and I can’t understand how I operated at all before using this
system. I like it so much that I am now using it for employees I have that
work remotely for me by using Catalyst. It’s simple and very effective to
use.
I am working my way through the Brain Audit System and the Brain Audit
Applications one product line at a time and these documents are probably the
most important marketing documents I have ever read. Although I have only
introduced 4 bags to one of my products so far it has had a tremendous
result. It will take me a while to work my way through most of my high value
products but I am committed to doing it no matter how long it takes.
The Three Prong System is Genius! It is helping me to identify what I should
be doing and what I should not be doing and most importantly is it helping
me to convert my business to an information products business which is my
ultimate goal.
Thanks again for your generous and capable teachings.
Kind regards,
Ian
