I wasn’t sure if I was going to learn anything new. I have read a few books and also done a couple of courses on Storytelling already. Was I just spending money on something that would not add any new information?
As a result of buying the product I found:
The product has become my go-to guide when I feel like brushing up my storytelling skills. As someone who wants to spread his ideas through writing, the course helped me craft better stories in my articles and social media updates.
3. The specific feature you liked most: The audio about the signature stories was quite helpful.
Three other benefits
I loved all the 3 parts of the course. And then, also the audio that came with it. It helped my storytelling skills – not just strategically but also tactically.
I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to tell better stories. It’s a really cool product that keeps reminding you of storytelling principles so that gradually you absorb all the wisdom and implement it.

Well, before buying the Story Telling Mini Series I thought, I know so much
about Story Telling and it is even part of our Dale Carnegie Trainings, so does it really make sense to buy another book with similar content like 10 others, which I have already at home.
Now, I am happy that I decided to buy the book and the reason is that Sean is extremely focused on tiny little details. That makes the difference to every other literature I had on hand, referring to that topic.
He explains nicely every single step and if you want, you can use his examples as a blueprint to create your stories. Just change the content!
So the tiny steps are great. You can use the process everywhere in Business and in your Personal Life. To write Blogs, to run Business Meeting, to motivate your Team, to work successfully with your Customers, to motivate your Wife to bake Christmas Cookies😊!
Besides it gives you a lot food for thoughts to improve your way to create impactful stories. For example you could revise your existing stories in no time by using the 90/10 idea.
That’s why I would recommend this book with 6-stars (not only 5😊)!
You can implement Sean‘s ideas immediately and create value for yourself and your audience! Sean always delivers wonderful services and products. His performance in Marketing is unbeatable.
Warm regards and a nice advent time

The free content at Sean’s blog has so much depth and information that I initially thought that a product will not offer too much additional value.
As a result of buying the product I found:
Ideas were fleshed out in full. Seeing more applications made the theory come to life.
The specific feature you liked most about–The Story Telling Mini
Series was the clearly communicated concepts.
Three other benefits:
Greater insight into story telling.
More tools to create drama.
Better structure to implement into stories.
I would recommend this product becuase the concepts taught in the product will help in creating a more teachable and memorable story by introducing certain concepts that can help boost the stickiness of your ideas.

As a running coach, I often write blog posts/articles such as “How to improve your 10k time”, or “How to avoid injuries” things of that nature. The thing is that the nature of the articles are pretty science oriented, sometimes nerdy.
So my main question was, how does Storytelling fits into that frame? Is it that relevant to my business? Do I really need to tell a story to a runner who just want to learn the science of running, maybe telling a story is totally useless for what I do, so I thought.
What I found as a result of buying the product:
The reality is that telling a story, no matter what field you are in, is the best way to engage with the audience. Not only does the reader understand better your point, but from the writer’s perspective, I find it very fun.
It allows me to think differently on how to convey the message and it is a very good and fun exercise. I went to compare for example muscles fibers and collagen in the body with a bunch of straws !!
The specific feature you liked most about–The Story Telling Mini
Series:
All the points that Sean mentions in his article makes perfect sense. Like the 90% principle is brilliant. I know try to apply this principle whenever I write an article or blogpost.
Actually the entire course is written in a storytelling style and just reading the course itself – I recommend reading it multiple times – shows you how storytelling is powerful and has the power to captivate the reader way better than just cutting right to the chase.
Other benefits:
I really liked the signature story article. Storytelling this way allows you to grasp complex topics very quick and has much more impact. The reader remembers much better.
The Story Telling Mini Series is dense, it is very dense and packed with information. Not random information, but the information that you can apply right away in your writing.
Don’t get me wrong, Sean is not selling magic. His is selling a method, a way of thinking, a way of speaking. And just like everything you still need practice. You will not become proficient overnight. But instead of being in a labyrinth with an infinite number of paths to choose from, Sean will narrow it to finite number of choices, which is in the end the role of a good guide.
I would definitely recommend this Story Telling Mini Series. You can google “Storytelling” and you will see that according to research, it is the most powerful way to engage and to convey messages.
Basically you have three ways of convincing: Ethos, Pathos and Logos, the author’s credibility, the emotional appeal and the logic appeal respectively. I believe that regardless of the field you are working in, Pathos is not a luxury and is often overlooked, especially in the science field. Storytelling is a very efficient way to improve one’s Pathos.
I believe Sean has acquired and mastered the Trinity skills throughout the years, Ethos, Pathos and Logos, and that’s why he is so damn convincing !!!

I’ve bought a handful of self-study courses from Sean over the years, and I’ve never been disappointed.
He always approaches subjects from an unusual or seemingly counterintuitive angle. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hesitant before throwing down my money on his storytelling miniseries.
And not because I thought the content would be as dry as sandpaper, but because I assumed it would echo Campbell’s “Hero’s Journey” monomyth (blech).
To my welcomed surprise, Sean’s course was the exact opposite: it’s a universal blueprint that you can use to weave your tale immediately after reading.
I’ve read many books on storytelling, many of them were convoluted and ridiculously complicated. Sean makes storytelling accessible, practical and absorbable. The course has made my writing more compact, compelling and fun!.
The most awesome feature of the course was the “Signature Story” section.
I’ve created origin stories, USPs, taglines and the like for my clients, but I never knew how vital a signature story was to branding until now.
It does something that none of the other quintessential branding copy does: it memorably spells out what you do *and* shreds any misconceptions that people may have about what you do at the same time.
Three other benefits
1) The 80/20 rule for me was priceless for me because there’s no shortage of advice on how to make a story compelling, but Sean focuses on ensuring that your audience retains it, because what good is a riveting story if you can’t remember it? After all, stories are meant to be shared with others, that’s hard to do if your tale is overflowing with excess details and/or is unrelatable.
2) There are key elements within this course that are based on solid copywriting principles, like the section on objectives. I’ve always assumed that storytelling was something I needed to learn *outside* of copywriting, so it was refreshing to see familiar concepts presented in unexpected ways.
3) The advice to test your signature story to see if it sticks. This is another copywriting principle, what I call the “real-world filter,” where you run your content by a couple of people to see how it’s processed by everyday folks. It never occurred to me to apply this same concept to stories until I bought this product.
I’d recommend this product because it’s the perfect length for busy professionals who want to learn and hone the invaluable skill of storytelling.
Its condensed form makes re-reading the material a snap, and I recommend you go through the course at least twice.
In addition to its size, the angle that Sean approaches storytelling from is unique and unexpected, I doubt you’d find anyone else making similar points.

I don’t come from a writing background, I’ve learned my way into copywriting and actually managed to shift from sofware engineering into doing freelance copy. I thought this would have been quite an obstacle since I don’t have the literary skills of an actual writer. The storytelling ebooks changed my frame of mind from “writing as in using big fancy words” to “writing as in using images, dynamics, rythm”.
This has been insanely helpful for my copywriting career, because writing good sales copy is all about being conversational and createing a vision, conveying a story in the minds of the readers/prospects.
Following the steps outlined in these books, gave me unique tools that made me a better writer and storyteller. Meaning I get to be paid higher fees.
I love how these 3 books are all linked together and each one builds upon the previous. Some concepts are repeated but framed in different ways to really help you grasp their meaning beyond just the writing tools. Once you’ve learned these few principles and foundations of powerful writing, you’ll see text through a whole different lens.
Read them and re-read them at least 3 or 4 times until the concepts have become an ingraned part of your writing.
Hi Sean
This mini story telling series has been one of your most helpful products. As always I appreciate the clarity as your stories unfold. They are short but meaningful and useful to revisit, sometimes often. In particular I have been fascinated with and been able to use effectively how to connect with people firstly with something they already know. Having captured their attention and interest, then lead into what you are selling or how you want them to act.
I wasn’t sure that I could learn anything impactful from this Story Telling mini series because I write stories on a daily basis.
As a result of buying the product—I learned more about the elements that I was using intuitively and found ways to give them greater impact.
I like the way Sean teaches. You get to see the big picture and the tactics/techniques used to put it all together.
Three other benefits:
The mini series is broken down into 3 small books which can be easily read on their own or together as a group.
I like the way this min-series builds on the principals learned in the brain audit.
It’s a ton of value for a fair price.
I would recommend this book to anyone who write short stories for business because it’s helped me build trust with my audience and clients.
Steve Jolly
I noticed other people commenting on my storytelling abilities, on social media and at other places, so I wanted to explore this further. I found that this series gave me an understanding of what I was doing naturally. Putting that in a structure like Sean does is extremely helpful as I can enhance and use it more deliberately now.
I like the fact that it is so simple to understand and comes with great examples that helps to remember the point.
It’s the tool everyone is going to need to stand out in the noisy world, to tell better stories and engage their customers.
This is pretty much the quickest and the easiest ‘pill’ anyone can take to improve their writing.
The obstacles that would have prevented me from buying–The Story Telling Mini Series was having enough other story telling products and books already.
I like the simplicity and quick implementation. Just yesterday, I was able to take them out, pull a few ideas and start writing!
The specific feature I liked most about–The Story Telling Mini
Series is how quick they were to get through. Thats not a bad thing, its a great thing. So many time products are just too much information and therefore are never consumed and never implemented.
Three other benefits? Gave me a variety of options, gave great examples and helped me to build my knowledge of story telling.
I would recommend this product for sure! It is very easy to understand and implement and most people have no idea that stories are the most powerful way to communicate.

I had lost my own flow when it comes to regularly writing articles for my blog.
Coaching after all is about stories; however an article paints a picture but might not tell a story.
Certainly not in the way that we have roller coasters and flat lines and yet stop the brain fog if too factual and has no drama [ borrowing some elements from Sean here]
Hence the incentive with this series already existed to some extent, and the price was attractive.
In addition, Sean’s sales letters pretty much match the style of his products; thus it was an easy decision for me to purchase.
For anyone who either writes or wants to, this mini series is a very good primer.

The obstacles that would have prevented me from
buying–The Story Telling Mini Series? Usually is the price, however having bought from you before I knew I was getting value for money. And time, I don’t have much time to commit to a “class”, your books are full of simple illustrations that I can apply to my business
As a result of buying the product— My writing is tighter, especially in the e-newsletter, and I can craft a story that suits my audience.
The specific feature you liked most about–The Story Telling Mini Series – It’s simplicity
I would recommend this product—if you don’t have the time to commit to a full time course you can get as much marketing value from this product with a few days reading, in fact its so simple I missed a couple of concepts the first time around, and only picked them up on the next reading. I am sure its a resource I can pick up time and again for inspiration.
Love your work, keep it up.
Kind regards

Sean,
I don’t know if I’ve bought it or not. I think I have. If not, sure send me the link and I’ll buy it. I never think about buying something from you because you write so well. You get me thinking and when you can get me thinking, then I know you’re good. I don’t tell anyone about you nor do I recommend you to anyone. You’re probably asking me why?
Because the less people that know about you, the better off I am. I love writing stories, but I always look for something else that will help me write better and since I’ve bought the Brain Audit, my entire life has changed when it comes to marketing and how I set up my ads that I sell for $697 each.
You have a great site, and there is no reason for someone not to invest in your services. I’ve purchased a lot of things from you, so again, check your records and let me know. If I have NOT invested in the story telling thing, shoot me an email, PST lol and I’ll get it today. If I don’t hear from you then I’ll know I’ve bought it and I need to find it. I’d rather have you send me the link, but I know you’re busy. Thanks again. Your stuff is the best.

1. What were the obstacles that would have prevented you from
buying–The Story Telling Mini Series?
There were no obstacles to buy the Story Telling Mini Series. As soon as cyber space purchasing system allowed me to buy it I just went through the purchasing process.
I have a business and attracting new customers require a continuous effort. I am always searching for ways to take my business to the next level. Once I saw what The Story Telling Mini Series was about I really wanted to get it.
2. What you found as a result of buying the product?
I was about to update my website and reading “The Story Telling Mini Series” gave me an idea for the road map for my web-site. I am a student recruiter and Immigration Consultant for Canada. I help match overseas students to schools in Canada that meet their needs, arrange pick-up, accommodation, settlement services and assist them with their visas and possibly immigration to Canada. After reading the mini series, I decided to show the process of coming to Canada, obstacles, advantages and challenges, through drawing.
3. The specific feature you liked most about–The Story Telling Mini
Series
I like “One Idea” on Signature Stories and I found it to be inspiring.
4. Three other benefits?
Reading Sean’s first experience about copy writing and changing directions to drawing and returning the original copywriting, story telling, gave me hope that I can still do something new to improve my skills.
Since I have started the Da Vinci 2012 drawing course, my idea about creativity changed radically. I no longer believe talent and I try hard to achieve anything since trying is the first step towards achievement. Like drawing, this mini series of writing is a really good handbook with very clear explanations, it is short, sharp, effective.
After reading The Story Telling Mini Series, I have decided to write short stories about travelling, coming to Canada, staying with homestay families and rental apartments for my web-site. I realized that I have been postponing the things I should update and I think the most important benefit from this book is to get the inspiration to start over. Do something little every single day.
5. Would you recommend this product and why?
Yes definitely I will, it not only explains what to do but also gives examples of how to do it. Especially for a person like me (English as second language) it is very clear and understandable.
6. Anything else you would like to add?
The story telling mini series are consisting of three booklets, Counterflow, Signature Stories and The Power of Stories. Even though they all explain different aspects of effective story telling, I found “Signature Stories” more helpful since I was looking for an idea on how to create my website from top the bottom. All steps are very clear and easy to follow.
Before I bought the book I thought there would be too many ideas I’d heard before. I’ve been a heavy follower of Chip & Dan Heath, authors of “Made to Stick”, and their philosophies on storytelling that “sticks”. I found that there was a lot to learn beyond what I’d absorbed from “Made to Stick” and its formulas.
The feature I liked best—The realization that the best stories are about something you are 80% familiar with, you can anticipate, and then WHAM – the new 20% hits you.
Three other benefits—The examples of stories that “worked” and “didn’t work”. Understanding how much detail is just enough, and what is too much. Sean’s classic straightforward, easy to absorb step-by-step approach which doesn’t leave you behind.
I would recommend this product to anyone who has to persuade others, explain something, or teach. I use the concepts mainly to teach, and especially to engage my audience and get them to realize why they should care about a topic.
Writing is a task which already is a bit difficult and I do not want to make it harder for me by adding strategies. However, my experience with Sean’s products is that they are easy to use. They also give a structure to the job, so that the job becomes easier than it was before.
As a result of using the Story Telling Mini Series I have extra strategies on how to improve my writing. The experience is a bit like this: I want to express something and I know a word, but it’s not the perfect word. I think a bit about it, and then the word I was looking for comes to mind. I’m a native German writing in English so finding words sometimes takes a few seconds. And with Sean’s story telling strategies it’s very similar. I have one way of telling the story in my mind. Then, I think, hey wait a minute. I can do better than that. And, then I just do that.
What I like best about the Story Telling Mini Series is its extreme usability. I just read the Series and am immediately able to use it. It just kind of slips into my writing.
Three other benefits—It’s an easy read. There are a lot of examples that I still can remember. I also like the bad examples on how not to try and “pimp up” your writing.
I would recommend this product to people who are repeatedly writing and would like to spice it up. I see it as additional tools in my toolbox.
Thank you very much for this high value tool, Sean. I also like how it seamlessly fits with the other writing tools I bought from you. While I start to see patterns between your products, there is no overlap between them. I do not pay for something I have paid for already.
Storytelling is an art. It’s an art that is difficult to quantify, analyze, and explain. Because of these difficulties, I was reluctant to purchase the Story Telling Mini Series. Too many books and resources that I’ve purchased before fell short in turning the storytelling art into a science.
I approached the series with a “maybe it’ll have an interesting nugget of information in it” attitude. But I read it, and found out I was dead wrong.
I found that this Story Telling Mini Series helped me to think about storytelling in completely new ways. The thing I liked the most about it was that it teaches the tools and mechanics of storytelling and how to make stories compelling and interesting. It also provides new insight each time I go over the material.
I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to improve their storytelling, increase the drama in their writing, and create more compelling and effective copy.
Sean,
I bought the bastard, and still haven’t found time to use it. Your copy was too compelling. Now I don’t know where I saved it.
Can you send me the link so I can grab it again.?
